Our Managing Director

Suraya grew up in Genesee, CO and graduated from Kent Denver School. She earned her B.A. in French from the University of Vermont, her M.A. in French from Middlebury College and her M.B.A. from the University of Denver. Since 2001, Suraya has been working as the Managing Director of The DeSo Foundation. Her duties include administering scholarships, creating newsletters, keeping the website updated and organizing Foundation sponsored events.

Suraya is also an avid skier, traveler, community volunteer, and outdoors woman, having completed three courses with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) and currently acting as a member of the NOLS Advisory Council. For 6 years, Suraya was an active Board member of The Kimmy Foundation, and in the Spring of 2006, she was appointed to the Kent Denver School Board of Trustees. She is also active with The Third Way Center, Inc. in Denver, serving as a member of the Advisory Council since 2009.
